Last week I got my makeup done at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in Selfridges, London. While I was there I got three items - Lipstick, Lip Liner and Beach Stick. I really like Charlotte's products as the packaging looks awesome, the quality is fantastic and they have a range of colors to suit everyone. I have a few of her blushers, eyeshadows and lipsticks so I was really glad to add more of her products to my collection.
The lipstick I went for is from Charlotte's Hot Lips range of colors and this one is called Kim K.W. which is a nude color. It's got a nice creamy texture to it and is very pigmented, meaning I didn't need a lot to get the color to show up. It also stayed on for most of the day too and needed a bit of reapplying later on. I didn't have to reapply much of it as most of it had stayed on.
To match the lipstick I got a lip liner in the color Pillow Talk. It's a bit darker than the lipstick but still goes nicely with it. The texture of the pencil was nice and smooth and had a creamy feel to it. I didn't have to tug, pull or push down with it either.
I have a few of Charlotte's blushers so I was really interested in trying out her Beach Sticks. These are a multi use product for lips and face, although I only used this one on my cheeks. They come in a range of different colors and give your cheeks a glow that only a week at the beach can give you. The color I went for was called Moon Beach and is a luminous, rose gold, iridescent peach.
The texture is nice and creamy and it glides onto the cheeks. I didn't have to use a lot either to get the color to show up as it was very pigmented. As this one is a cream product the best way to use this is after foundation but before powder. I always find that when applying creams on top of powder, they can go patchy. This one, when applied didn't crease or fade either and stayed on all day.
I really liked the glow that this one gave my cheeks. I didn't use it on my lips but it is definitely a color I would wear as lipstick.
I really liked these products and think they are great. I don't usually wear natural colors, but I do like a nude lipstick when I do a dramatic eye look. The Lipstick was £24.00, Lip Liner £16.00 and Beach Stick £30.00.
