I've been really on a roll with the liquid beauty products, huh? First, I'm digging the NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer (on my previous post) and now these babies.
These highlighters come in a lip gloss-like tube, but with a flat applicator with a square-ish end. I prefer this over the doe foot applicator because it's more precise, especially if you want to use it on the inner corner of your eyes.
These highlighters are very subtle, which is great for everyday wear. At first, I was a bit disappointed about that because based on the tube, they appeared to be very shimmery and glowing from outer space. But the beauty of these are that you can build it up, which is easier than getting too much glow or product and having to take out a bit. Allure ranked these highlighters as 2 stars, meaning that they are barely there or great for if you just want a hint of shimmer that still looks natural. There's no fat glitter chunks here.
I will admit that they are kinda difficult to blend, so I prefer using a damp sponge to blend these. Or applying powder highlighter (or blush) over them and blending with a brush.
The shade Daytime Halo is a champagne pearl shade that flatters fair–tan skin tones. So I like using this regularly over my cheekbones. Gold Rush, is a rose gold shade that is more suited for tan–deep skin tones, and I too use this as a regular highlighter regularly but I also use this under a powder blush and once in a while as a bronzer. So Gold Rush is pretty versatile in that aspect.

Bottom: Gold Rush
Here's the look I created:
I used Daytime Halo over my cheekbones, on the bridge of my nose, on my cupid's bow, and a bit on my chin and forehead. On my cheeks, I used Gold Rush and then layered my UltraFemme Compact Blush in "Cabos" over it.
Do I love these? Do I recommend these? Hell yes. I haven't been touching my other highlighters since I got these. I almost purchased the Tarte Pro Glow Liquid Highlighter, but why would I need to when I have these for 1/3 of the cost? (I'm trying not to buy as much makeup these days).
So yes, I recommend these if you want a subtle, buildable, and affordable highlighter.
Do you have these, or any NYX or sort of liquid highlighters?
