Decleor Aromessence Neroli

as you can see this bottle has been loved well
Like anything relatively expensive I did not purchase this, my sibling did. After complaining that she thought this oil had given her spots she passed it onto me (oh, thanks my sister dear). Thankfully this oil did not break me out as my mother had given me her own little bottle of this face oil (that my other sister eventually nicked, lol) so I knew it would work with my skin. Now I don't have perfect skin, I'm the girl with obvious dark marks, sure it upsets and annoys me from time to time but not like it used to. With time, patience and good olde healthy living and cleansing they'll fade - I guess. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy and pamper my skin to the fullest (I suggest you do the same).

O.k. enough about my skin what about the oil right?

The nicest thing for me about this product is the smell. It's very aromatic and soothing to my senses but, if you don't like herb smelling products, you might not like this. I would say that my skin does feel super moisturised after using it. Although from what I've learnt/heard oils are said to not provide moisture  - water does that job - and oil seals it in. So I guess, to gain moisture one would spray ones face with a watery mist and then apply ones oil on top, if one so desires (where did that posh bird come from?). Then again our skin makes sebum which is a natural lubricant/moisturiser and that's oily, whereas sweat which comes from our pores contains water and salt but is drying. SO maybe oil is in fact a moisturiser after all.

Anyway, I've been using it at night when I've remembered or have not been too tired from my day to cleanse my face (I know I've been so naughty just using makeup removers and toners, yes I deserved that hit). I find that this oil helps calm down my skin after a stripping cleanser balancing my skin and alleviating the tight burning feeling. This oil has never burnt or stung my eyes and one or two squirts can effectively massage and soothe my face. Face massage is something which Decelor recommends with this product and when I do remember to massage my face it feels very pampering and luxurious. I've been very lazy with my skincare lately but my skin has been in relatively good condition and I think that I can attribute it to using this product frequently. I've been using it for over a year now (been using it on and off) and its always been good to me, I can find no fault.

Availability and pricing
I don't think that Decleor sells this specific bottle any more, but you still can find it online. I don't know how much it cost my sister but, from a random search I found this 50ml/1.69fl.oz retailing for £42.99. Ok now I found the fault. Being the frugal person I am, I have used other oils in the past to massage my face, like extra virgin olive oil but I found it stung my eyes and didn't really sink into my skin like this oil. This oil is really lovely and has converted me to using oils on my face at night instead of creams and my face feels better for it. I wouldn't say I'd buy it myself but I wouldn't discount it either.

... This bottle is nearly finishing (1/4 left) which makes me feel sad. I do have another face oil lined up so before this bottle is finished (which is much more inexpensive) so I may do a comparison post. As usual I'll let you know about my end thoughts when the bottle is completely finished (sniff, sniff) (T_T)
