Especially as I wear eye-make-up on a regular basis, it becomes a necessity to thoroughly sanitise the eye area. Till now I have been using Liz Earle's Eye Bright Lotion (which is pretty much a toner!) around the eyes and although its pretty light, it still manages to fulfil the purpose.
I however have a REAL Eye-Make-up Remover to show you today. It's by Queen Cosmetics and I cannot believe I did not come across it earlier.
The packaging is pretty simple and to the point. You get 50grams of product for £14.50 but trust me, the tub is full to the brim!
To being with, it contains Paraffinum Liquidum, Aqua, Paraffin, Cera Alba, Sodium Borate and Methylparaben.
So this is something I especially need when I am wearing a full-on eye for a day out, for occasions or when I am simply trying out eye-look for the blog.
I already have fine lines around the eyes(at 23! Yikes :S) and to avoid any further pulling or tugging, this waxy cream is my Best Friend Forever.
It looks pretty much like wax too isn't it? So, using my fingertips, I massage a pea sized amount of this on the eye lid and surrounding areas and let it dissolve the substance underneath for a bit. Then I simply place a cotton wool, muslin cloth or a tissue and wipe it off. Simples!
If you cannot visualise it graphically, here it is using three eye liner swatches.
It gives me unbelievably squeaky clean lids and lashes(removes stubborn mascara too!) in a minute. Sometimes I even use it all over my face as I love the instant results this delivers.
The cherry on the cake is that it also leaves the eye area, not OILY but thoroughly moisturised, meaning I can actually skip on the moisturising part on lazy days et al.
This can be bought from queen-cosmetics.com or you can pop into John Bell & Croydon at Wigmore Street in London and have a look at what else they have to offer.
