My ... PZC packaged arrived!(a long while ago). Here are my thoughts about the process and of course colours!
Shipping: It took 27 days (counting the weekend) for my package to arrive. If I don't count the weekends which is what PZC do not do, it would be 16 business days (for 6 of those days it was in transit) which fall in line with their international shipping rate of between 7-20 days. Normally a long wait such as this would have alarmed me but, thanks to the transparency that internet research can provide, I was aware that I was in for a long wait even before I purchased. I did receive a workable tracking number, so I wasn't completely not in the know and my products arrived in a rectangular white box with the liquid lipsticks safely wrapped up in bright green tissue paper, albeit without an invoice but since I knew what I purchased, for me that's not a big deal. Also, when I did make my purchase, I did receive a thank you note via the system I paid and so I was aware that my order was officially placed (some people have complained about that). In conclusion, I found that PZC service was not bad, sure it would have been nice for my order to have been shipped out earlier but other than that, I have no real complaints.
Oh and the packaging has changed a bit - instead of a white sticker with the colour name and zombie girl its transparent - I definitely like it better. Oh and the formula of PP + 3W is less liquid than Blue Moon which I again prefer ...
Onto the colours - Pretty Poison and 3 Wicthes are one of PZC most popular shades especially amongst darker skinned women and I can understand why - purple and brown are complementary colours in the colour wheel theory (or so I hear). So let's see how they look swatched ...
Purple Poison: A slightly pink based purple. Definitely one of PZC easier to wear shades. Personally I think that this shade is identical to Liberty's logo and purple shopping bags - so very classy ... I found this liquid lipstick very pigmented and very comfortable to wear despite it being a matte finish product. Upon my initial swatch I was reluctant to even wipe if off and try 3 witches because it's such a beautiful colour to wear. Yet, in the name of love and for the love of lip products I eventually did wipe it off. Note: does stain lips a mulberry colour.
3 Witches: A true deep purple. I think this colour is very well named - to me it totally looks like a colour that a witch might wear whilst boiling up her next diabolical potion. Similarly to Purple Poison ... 3 Witches, is very pigmented, very comfortable to wear and completely looks like the colour in the tube. Again I think this an easy to wear shade from PZC although it does have a certain level of oddness about it, that may not be palatable in (I imagine) a stuffy fuddy duddy corporate boardroom.
Anything else to add? like Blue Moon, PP + 3W do not have any fragrance so for you makeup scent phobic people you will be able to enjoy the products completely.

Hopefully, you can see that the shades are true to colour on my skin, very pigmented and quite bright. Definitely what I hoped and expected! Purple poison is a pinkish purple whereas 3 witches is a mid toned purple which almost looks like its possesses a blue undertone when swatched next to Purple Poison. Yet, I think 3 Witches is just a straight up no nonsense intense purple. I think both shades will look great on all skin tones - from the deepest darkest skin to the lightest palest skin - I just think these colours are universal for everyone *does a hula dance*
I took these pictures on a grey day so that's why I'm looking rather greyish brown (in case you were wondering) #englishweather |
These pictures were also taken on the same grey day ... it just got darker ... |

Price: $12 and the shipping for international buyers is a flat rate of $10.00 which I don't think is too bad since PZC is based in America. Nevertheless, I would recommend purchasing at least two shades at a time to make the shipping a bit worth it (I know spend more money because of shipping seems ridiculous) but I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed and it may help prevent you from incurring added custom charges. Just remember that these are not smudge proof and don't claim to be.
