What's Your Favorite Project on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart? Vote! - Billboard Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:06 AM PDT Different album, same Lady. Lady Gaga has long reigned (rained?) over the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, with her hit LP The Fame logging an incredible 118 weeks at No. 1 since its 2008 release, the most time spent at No. 1 of any title in the chart's history. The album -- racking up plays for the last 12 years on the power of hits such as "Poker Face," "Paparazzi" and "Just Dance" -- had been No. 1 for seven weeks in a row before the May release of Gaga's Chromatica, a function of the major anticipation among fans leading up to the release of the new music. But Gaga isn't the only artist with multiple LPs on the chart, with The Chainsmokers logging three charting projects with Memories, Do Not Open, the Collage EP and their most recent album, 2019's World War Joy. Meanwhile, Kygo's Golden Hour, which dropped on the same day as Chromatica, is currently sitting at No. 2 on the chart. With all these big time projects to choose from, we want to know what your favorite album in the top 10 is. Let us know by voting below! |
What Is Your Song of the Summer 2020? Vote! - Billboard Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:47 AM PDT Summer's here and the time is right for getting "Savage" in the streets. Or maybe you're ready for a break from the heat and you want it to "Rain on Me"? Whether you're a Megan Thee Stallion/Beyoncé fan or a Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande stan, it's time to figure out what your outdoor summer jam will be after way too much time spent indoors. Meg and Bey have already warmed things up with their No. 1 on Billboard's Songs of the Summer chart dated June 13, which knocked Gaga and Grande off the peak after "Rain" previously topped the list. Other contenders for the hot weather crown include DaBaby's Hot 100 No. 1, "Rockstar" (featuring Roddy Ricch), as well as The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and Doja Cat's "Say So." Maybe your groove is more of a "Toosie Slide" from Drake, or Dua Lipa's "Don't Start Now." Otherwise you could opt for Roddy Ricch's smash "The Box," Justin Bieber's "Intentions" or Post Malone's "Circles." The 20-position Songs of the Summer running tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year encompassing charts dated June 6 through Sept. 5). At the end of the season, the top song of the summer will be revealed. What's your song of the summer for 2020? Vote below! |
